James F. Grizzard Sr., 72, of the 3000 block of Lens Ave., died July 7, 1996, in Williamsburg Community Hospital.
Mr. Grizzard was a heavy equipment operator with Commonwealth Pipe and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Nell M. Grizzard; two sons, James F. Grizzard Jr. of Norfolk and Larry W. Grizzard of Chesapeake; two sisters and a brother, Janie Hawkins of North Carolina and Sarah Snell and Carl Grizzard, both of South Carolina.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. The family will be at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
