Cornelius ``Neal'' Harris, 43, of the 300 block of 7th St., died July 5, 1996.
He was retired from the Army and was a former civil service employee.
Survivors include a son, Dennard Furford; a sister, Dorothy Peeples; and four brothers, Vernon Harris, Bill Harris, Russell Harris and William H. Harris, all of Portsmouth; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Gladys Blount and stepfather, Paul D. Blount.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Serenity Funeral Home by the Rev. T.M. Steele. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today. Family and friends will assemble at 1134 Virginia Ave., Apt. G, at 12:45 p.m. for the procession.
