Theodore ``Sleepy'' Holmes of the 1900 block of County St., died July 5, 1996, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
Mr. Holmes was born in Portsmouth and formerly attended Third Baptist Church in Portsmouth. He was retired as a pipefitter from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 25 years and was an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Holmes; a daughter, Dorothy Edwards of Portsmouth; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Corprew Funeral Home by the Rev. Joseph Holmes. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery with military honors. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.
