A Norfolk man wanted in connection with the shooting death of a man outside of a nightclub Friday, turned himself in at a local television station Sunday morning, police said.
According to police, Ricky Ricardo Wilson Jr. turned himself in at WVEC Channel 13 after a murder warrant had been issued for his arrest.
Wilson, 21, of the 900 block of Tunstall Avenue in Norfolk, was arrested and is being held in the Norfolk City Jail in connection with the death of Michael J. Maderazo, police said.
Maderazo, 33, of Pelham Road in Norfolk, was shot in the parking lot of Garry's, a nightspot on Little Creek Road, police said.
According to police, Maderazo was shot when he approached a black male who was acting suspiciously around a parked van.
On Saturday, police received a tip that three men, including a man who matched the description of Wilson, were inside a vacant house in the 2200 block of Rush Street, police said.
After trying to make contact with people inside, members of the police department's Emergency Response Team entered the home, but the house was empty.
