Wilmot Rose ``Tootsie'' Charon, 80, of the 1200 block of Colonial Ave., a retired civil service chief clerk for the United States Coast Guard, died July 7, 1996, in her residence.
Mrs. Charon was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk. She was the widow of Ernest D. Charon. She was a member of First Christian Church, Norfolk.
Survivors include her niece, Anne H. Mitchell of Monument, Colo., and two dear friends, Betty P. Allen and Edith W. Ray, both of Norfolk.
A chapel service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, by the Rev. Lewis A. McPherren. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, is handling the arrangements.
