Elizabeth Steger Meads, 86, died Sunday, July 7, 1996, in Albemarle Hospital.
Mrs. Meads was a native of Elizabeth City, N.C. She lived in Norfolk a number of years before returning to Elizabeth City in the late 1970s. She was the widow of Lorenzo D. Meads and was predeceased by a son, Robert L. Meads, and a daughter, Carolyn E. Meads.
She is survived by a son, Charles W. Meads and his wife Deborah of Virginia Beach, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 1996, at Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. William E. Kube. The family will receive visitors from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel.
