Beatrice H. Capps, of the 1000 block of Avenue H., died July 6, 1996.
Mrs. Capps was born in Norfolk and was a retired cafeteria manager for Oakwood Elementary School after 20 years of service. She was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church, Norfolk. She belonged to Missionary Circle; Eastern Star (NU)3; United Order of Tents (NU)1; House of Ruth; and was a former member of the Senior Choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore R. Capps and a daughter, Vashti J. Richardson.
Survivors include a daughter, Jernice Moore of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Theodoria White of Norfolk, Katrina R. Wilson of Richmond and Ricky Richardson of Richmond; six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. G.G. Campbell in New Calvary Baptist Church, Norfolk. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Hale Funeral Home is in charge. The body will be placed in church at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Family and friends will assemble at the residence at 10 a.m. for the procession to the church.
