Linnie Jernigan Piland, 80, of Main St., died July 8, 1996, in her home.
Mrs. Piland was born in Bertie County, N.C., and was the widow of Clinton Piland. She was a retired clerk from Winton Drycleaners. She was a member of Winton Baptist Church, Winton, N.C.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra P. Ward and husband, Bartlett, of Winton, N.C., and Carolyn P. Lasater and husband, Sammy, of Clayton, N.C.; three grandchildren, James Lasater and Adrian Lasater of Clayton, N.C., and Paul Ward of Scotland Neck, N.C.; and a great-grandson.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Stephen A. Moore in Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, N.C. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and other times at the home of Sandra Ward.
