Alice H. Davenport, 88, of the 3300 block of Crabapple Road, died July 7, 1996.
She worked 14 years as a Mary Kay consultant and 25 years as a beautician. She was a member of Thalia Trinity Presbyterian Church. She was predeceased by her parents, Cecil E. and Sarah C. Hewitt and her husband, Billy E. Davenport.
She is survived by a sister, Nancy H. Edney of Chesapeake; a niece, Patricia E. Twiford of Chesapeake; two nephews, R. Mitchell Edney of Moyock, N.C., and Timothy D. Edney of Virginia Beach. She is also survived by several grandnieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Thalia Trinity Presbyterian Church, 420 Thalia Road, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. A graveside service will be at Rosewood Memorial Park on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Dr. James R.M. Young and the Rev. C. Bradford are officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the church. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
