Charles Henry Vette Sr., 51, of the 1000 block of Colonial Meadows Way, died Monday, July 8, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
He was born in Staunton, Va., and was a real estate developer. Mr. Vette attended Staunton Military Academy, Virginia Commonwealth University, and East Carolina University. He was also a member of Stonewall United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Joseph L. and Rebecca Tucker Vette of Staunton; a son, Charles H. Vette Jr. of Harrells, N.C.; two sisters, Patricia Ann Martin of Staunton and Brenda Katherine Stonesifer of Roanoke, Va.; and his former wife, Jackie Osmond of Virginia Beach.
A memorial service for Mr. Vette will be conducted in Staunton at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad, 740 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach 23451. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
