Minnie ``Florence'' Griffin, 57, of the 1200 block of Corsair Drive, died July 5, 1996, in Bayside Hospital.
Mrs. Griffin, a native of Rocky Mount, N.C., was a housewife. She was a member of Rock Church, Virginia Beach.
Survivors include three daughters, Vicky Griffin, Brenda Chisholm, Rita Ford; a brother, William Bynum; three grandchildren, Ebony and Anthony Chisholm, Brandom Latimore; two aunts, Naomi Hardy, Mamie Barron; sister-in-law, Gracie Harrell; brothers-in-law, John Griffin and James Griffin; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Minnie Bynum and James Bynum.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in National Baptist Church, 508 Lucas Ave., Norfolk, by the Rev. Edward Smith. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The viewing will be today from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The family will assemble at 1489 Hawser Ct., Apt. 103, Virginia Beach, at noon for the procession to the church. Serenity Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is in charge.
