Jessie Louise ``Dot'' West, 63, of the 1400 block of Seaboard Ave., died July 9, 1996, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
She was a native of Scotland County, N.C., and a homemaker who cared for the elderly. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Chesapeake.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathy O'Neil of Mt. Olive, Miss., Joyce Anne Bressler of Wilson, N.C., J. Lynn Daughtery of Chesapeake; six sons, Johnny Allen, James Allen, John Henry Allen, and George West Jr., all of Chesapeake, Ronnie Allen of Virginia Beach, and Jimmy Allen of Wilson; 31 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Clayton West.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Pete Taylor in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk. The family will be at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
