A federal minimum wage of $5.15, approved Tuesday by the Senate,
would go into effect in July 1997. A pullout with Wednesday's
front-page headline had the year wrong.
Also, U.S. Sen. John Warner, R-Va., voted in favor of raising the
minimum wage. A ``How They Voted'' box with the story reported his
vote incorrectly.
Correction published in The Virginian-Pilot, Thursday, July 11,
1996, page A2.
