Darryl J. Hill, 38, of the 400 block of George Washington Highway, died July 9, 1996, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.
Born in Norfolk County, he was a member of the Gospel Choir and the Senior Choir of Rehoboth A.M.E. Church, Chesapeake. He attended Virginia State University and while there he was a member of the Gospel Choir. He was predeceased by his parents, Anna W. Hill and John W. Hill.
Survivors include paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Hill of Portsmouth; an aunt, Felicia W. Jackson and uncle, Lloyd Bernard Jackson Sr., both of Chesapeake; and a host of cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Willie L. White Sr. in Rehoboth A.M.E. Church, Chesapeake. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 10 a.m. Friday. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Saturday. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Jackson, 400 North George Washington Hwy. and will assemble there for the funeral service.
