French Shepherd, 87, of the 600 block of Carraway Court, died July 10, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Shepherd, a native of Hartford, Ala., was a retired engineer from the Army Corps of Engineers. He was a member of Ocean View Masonic Lodge (NU)335 AF & AM, Scottish Rite Bodies, and Khedive Temple of the Shrine.
Survivors include his wife, Levonia G. Shepherd; two sons, Darrell F. Shepherd of Norfolk and Larry W. Shepherd of Richmond; and two grandchildren, Kimberly and Brittney.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by Mark Claypool. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Masonic rites will be accorded in the funeral home Saturday.
