MAE S. JONES

Mae Shelburne Jones, a retired Hanover County school teacher and widow of Theodore Epps Jones, died July 10, 1996.

She is survived by her children, Theodore Shelburne Jones of Woodbridge, Martha Jones Tompkins of Virginia Beach, and Thomas Creath Jones of Hanover; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Henry of Winona, Minn.; three brothers, W.C. Shelburne of Williamsburg, and T.C. Shelburne and S.S. Shelburne, both of Richmond.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Reid Funeral Home, 412 South Washington Highway, Ashland, where services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. Internment will be in Signal Hill Memorial Park, Hanover. Memorial gifts may be made to the Slash Christian Church Preservation Fund or Conference Fund, 11353 Mt. Hermon Road, Ashland, 23005 or the Hanover Unit of the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6480, Glen Allen 23058-6480.
