The American Red Cross is asking donors to attend blood drives today and Sunday to help avert any possible shortages.
Officials are concerned that evacuations for Hurricane Bertha will cause a drop in available donors.
The following blood drives will be open today:
Blood Donation Center, 611 W. Brambleton Ave., Norfolk; 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Hecht's, 1880 N. Military Highway, Norfolk; 2-6 p.m.
PWC, NAB Building A81, Norfolk; 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
On Sunday:
Larchmont Church, 1106 Larchmont Crescent, Norfolk; 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
