The last name of Capt. William Shurtleff IV was misspelled on
Friday's MetroNews front page, as well as in the story and photo
caption inside the section. Shurtleff, the commanding officer of
Oceana Naval Air Station for the past two years, is going to new
duties in Hawaii.
A hurricane storm chart Friday had the wrong dates in a chart of
high tides. The days, however, were correct. Tides listed were for
Friday, July 12; Saturday, July 13, and Sunday, July 14. by CNB
