Billy Joe Boyd Sr., 64, of the 300 block of Coree Trail, died Thursday, July 11, 1996.
A native of Pet Ros, Tenn., Mr. Boyd was a son of the late Orton and Clara Collette Boyd and the husband of Mrs. Shirley Ann Rector Boyd. Mr. Boyd was a retired Tech. Sgt. in the U.S. Air Force.
Surviving other than his wife are four daughters, Virginia Mikus of Benson, N.C., Samantha Mikus of Edenton, N.C., Bliss Gonzales of Kingston, Tenn., Sherrie Evanvich of Holbart, Indiana; three sons, James Norman Rector of Germany, Billy Joe Boyd Jr. of Kingston, Tenn., and Samuel Clayton of Edenton, N.C.; three sisters, Carolyn Matthews of Norfolk, Vaann Bowling and Peggy Jones, both of Rockwood, Tenn.; a brother, Jack Boyd of Rockwood, Tenn.; 23 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Clay Boyd.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Evans Funeral Home Chapel in Edenton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
