COMPARE POLITICAL PARTIES

Regarding ``Libertarians select author as candidate for president'' (news, July 7), it is refreshing to see coverage of America's third-largest and fastest-growing political party, whose revolution against big government is now the political mainstream. Unfortunately, the dominant media (TV/newspapers) rarely admit the Libertarian Party even exists, though polls consistently show 20 percent to 25 percent of the population is libertarian.

Most folks will remain uninformed that there is an alternative to Demopublicans unless they listen to talk radio or cruise the Internet. I trust you will provide future Libertarian coverage at least equal to the ``Reform Party,'' though your readers would be best-served by a side-by-side, issue-by-issue comparison of every party's solutions to national problems.
