MED CENTER BRANCH OPENS

A new branch of I&O Medical Center will open Wednesday at 1290 Diamond Springs Road in Virginia Beach. I&O Medical is an occupational healthcare provider offering care for business concerns whose employers are injured at work, as well as care for employers requiring medical surveillance examinations pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration federal requirements.

The center will also offer required controlled substance testing, and a comprehensive program of family medical care.

Chartway Federal Credit Union will relocate its Little Creek Road branch to the Southern Shopping Center in Norfolk. Construction began last month and completion is expected in December. Chartway will feature six drive-through lanes, two ATM's, and convenient parking.

The Tidewater Association of Realtors purchased its headquarters building at 184 Business Park Drive in Virginia Beach. The TAR has occupied two suites in the building since 1994.

TAR plans are to establish the building as The Center for Real Estate in Hampton Roads. The association is celebrating its 110th anniversary with an open house on July 23 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Colonial Ford Truck Sales of Tidewater has leased 11,334 square feet of space in the Cavalier Industrial Park section of Chesapeake.

Richmond-based Sea Core Radiators Unlimited Inc., trading as Sea Core Distributors, has leased space at 2220 Paramont Drive in Chesapeake.

CBL & Associates purchased 45 acres at Princess Anne Road and Lynnhaven Parkway in Virginia Beach. A 55,000 square foot Hannaford Supermarket and a 200,000 square foot Super Wal-Mart will be developed, and is scheduled to open in spring 1997.

Old Dominion University's Research Foundation purchased the property at 4211 Colley Ave. in Norfolk. The foundation will convert the building to lab space.

Haynes Furniture Co. Inc. has purchased K-Mart's leasehold interest at 801 N. Military Highway in Norfolk. Haynes is operating the retail location as The Dump.

The Econolodge at 3108 Atlantic Ave. in Virginia Beach has been sold to Harmony Investments Inc. for $2.9 million. Harmony intends to convert the 97 unit motel into a Ramada Express. by CNB
