Harold Clyde Goodman, 81, of the 900 block of Sherry Ave., died July 14, 1996, in a Hampton hospital.
Mr. Goodman, a native of Salisbury, N.C., retired as chief E.T. from the U.S. Coast Guard after 23 years of service. He was also retired from civil service. He was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Louise Rice of Virginia Beach; two sons, Harold Charles Goodman of Chesapeake, Robert Phillip Goodman of Hudson, Mass.; two grandsons; and three granddaughters.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Dr. Jean Bozeman, assisted by Judy Cobb, in First Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, today from 7 to 9 p.m.
