A delegation of eight city officials from Miyazaki, Japan, one of
Virginia Beach's sister cities, has been in town for a two-week
visit to check out Virginia Beach and the surrounding area. Among
other things, the travelers visited the Virginia Marine Science
Museum and the Russell House retirement community, and met with
their counterparts in the local city government to see how things
are done here. On Thursday, Yumiko Sato, left, and Tomoko Kate
watched river otters as they played in the Owl's Creek Salt Marsh
