Mary Kite Bright Ballance, 82, of Walnut Island, died in Albemarle Hospital on Monday, July 15, 1996.
She was the daughter of the late Major L. and Pattie Hubbard Kite. She was the loving wife of Jack B. Ballance. She was born Nov. 16, 1913 in Jarvisburg, N.C. and a homemaker.
Besides her husband she is survived by two brothers, Greenville Kite of Chicago, Ill. and Major L. Kite Jr. of Lakeland, Fla.; two sisters, Nellie Rogers of Virginia Beach and Pattie Krumheber of Pasadena, Md.
The family will have a memorial service at a later date. Altmeyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
