Sharon Annette Johnson, 36, of the 900 block of Washington St., died July 11, 1996, in her residence.
Born in Norfolk, she worked as a domestic and was a member of St. James Church of God In Christ, Redding. She was a member of the choir, usher board, and was a pastor's aide. She was an aspiring minister.
Survivors include her husband, Talmadge L. Johnson; three sons, LaTae Prostell of Pittsburg, Pa., Antrone Prostell of Hampton and Carl Prostell of Portsmouth; mother, Mildred Prostell Satterfield of Norfolk; three sisters, Angela Hicklin of Chesapeake and Paula Billups and Fran Prostell, both of Norfolk; two brothers, Floyd Prostell Jr. and Shawn Prostell, both of Norfolk; two grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Herman Hicklin of Chesapeake; and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at noon Friday by Elder Duane S. McNair Sr. in Christ Cathedral C.O.G.I.C. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is in charge. A viewing will be held at the church from 10 to 11:45 a.m. Friday. The family will assemble at 1225 Tidewater Drive., Apt. 151, at 11 a.m. for the procession.
