WEEKLY BRIEFING

GROWING INTELLIGENCE: The Navy and Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center will dedicate an addition to its Virginia Beach home in a 10 a.m. ceremony Friday at the Fleet Combat Training Center, Dam Neck. Keynote speakers for the event will be Navy Adm. Bruce Demars, director of the naval nuclear propulsion program, and Maj. Gen. David Richwine, director of Marine Corps intelligence. The 72,300-square-foot addition enlarges the center by 27 classrooms, a modern multimedia center and conference room, and a graphics and digital imaging facility. It will enable the NMITC to boost its enrollment by 800 to 1,000 per year.

KOREAN WAR VETERANS REUNION: The second annual national reunion of the Korean War Veterans is scheduled for Oct. 15-20 in Virginia Beach. The organization, founded to reunite and honor combat buddies, is urgently seeking assistance in locating Korean War vets. DRILL TEAM TO PERFORM: The Norfolk Naval Base will hold an evening parade at 6:30 p.m. Friday. The event will feature the Navy Ceremonial Drill Guard Team from Washington, as well as the Atlantic Fleet Band and the Second Marine Aircraft Wing Band, a tattoo, retreat and lowering of the colors. The parade is free and open to the public. Spectators should enter through Gate 3A, off I-564.

SCHOOL PHYSICALS AT FORT: School physicals will be given at McDonald Army Community Hospital at Fort Eustis July 27, Aug. 10 and Aug. 24. All physicals will be conducted on an appointment basis only by calling 878-7862. The Fort Monroe Health Clinic will also give free school physicals during August. COMINGS AND GOINGS

RETURNING:

The Little Creek-based rescue and salvage ship Grasp is scheduled to return Friday after completing a six-month deployment to the Mediterranean Sea. The ship is scheduled to arrive at 10 a.m. at pier 57 East.

The Military Sealift Command's combat stores ship San Diego has returned from a four-month deployment to the Mediterranean Sea. The command's combat stores ship Sirius returns Friday after a six-month deployment to the Persian Gulf.

CHANGE OF COMMAND

Lt. Cmdr. Antony Nahitchevansky relieves Lt. Cmdr. William Marr as commanding officer of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 10 at Fort Story. Nahitchevansky's most recent assignment was on the staff of the commander, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group 2, Norfolk. Marr will report to the Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md.

Capt. Robert Holihan Jr. relieves Capt. Neil Collins as commanding officer of the Atlantic Fleet Technical Support Center in a ceremony at 10 a.m. July 26 at Bldg. H, St. Julian's Creek Annex in Portsmouth. Holihan's most recent assignment was as assistant chief of staff for maintenance and logistics to the Commander, Submarine Force, Pacific Fleet. Collins will become the assistant naval attache in Bath, England.

Capt. Richard L. Buck relieves Capt. Paul D. Barry as commanding officer of the Navy Environmental Health Center in Norfolk during ceremonies July 26. Buck previously was executive officer of the Naval Hospital, Millington, Tenn. Barry has orders to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, where he will be the force medical officer for Marine Forces Pacific.

Cmdr. Archie M. Macy relieves Cmdr. Richard C. Hill III as commanding officer of the Norfolk-based destroyer Comte De Grasse. Macy previously served as the requirements officer for ships self-defense systems and sensors in the theater branch of the chief of naval operations' office in Washington. Hill is to be assistant surface operations officer for Commander Cruiser Destroyer Group Two in Norfolk.
