In a 352-67 roll call vote Tuesday the House voted to deny a

cost-of-living pay raise in 1997 to members of Congress, federal

judges and senior administration officials.

A ``yes'' vote is a vote to add an amendment freezing the

salaries to a bill financing the Treasury Department and other

agencies.
