AULDINE DRURY RUSSELL

Auldine Drury Russell, 78, died Friday, July 12, 1996, peacefully in her home.

Born in Norfolk to the late Will and Sallie Simmons Drury, she graduated from Maury High School. She lived in West Hartford for 49 years. During World War II, she was employed as chief stenographer for the FBI office in Norfolk, and also was secretary to the American delegation of the founding of the United Nations in San Francisco.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas H. Russell III; two daughters, Jane Russell Capo of Cheshire, Conn., and Karen Russell Parr of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, John Burke Drury.

A memorial service was held July 16 in the Universalist Church, West Hartford. Burial was private.
