Annie S. Basham, 81, formerly of S. Great Neck Road, died July 17, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mrs. Basham was a native of Roanoke, Va. She was a member of London Bridge Baptist Church in Virginia Beach. Mrs. Basham was a L.P.N. Nurse for over 35 years before she retired. She also worked at the old Virginia Beach Hospital on 25th Street, which is now Virginia Beach General Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Atwood of Hummelstown, Pa., Judy Riggs of Virginia Beach; a son, Jimmy Basham of York, Pa.; a sister, Willie Goolsby of Virginia Beach; a brother, Pleas Holt of Chesapeake; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two loving son-in-laws.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, July 19, 1996 at Rosewood Memorial Park by Dr. A.C. Smith. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad or the American Lung Association.
H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
