Laborers working on the Lafayette Boulevard Bridge in Norfolk

exposed old trolley tracks when they ripped off the center pavement.

In the 1940s, Jim Butler, who has lived in Norfolk all his life,

rode the trolley . ``There was a lot of traffic on the trolleys,''

said Butler. ``I wish we still had them today.'' by CNB
