The hurricane evacuation sign on Granby Street is seriously misplaced. It is under the I-64 east to Virginia Beach sign instead of under the I-64 west to Richmond sign. I called the Department of Transportation when the sign was put up to tell it of this error. I then called back a few weeks ago. I was told the department would look into the matter. The sign has not been changed.
How fortunate that Bertha was not severe enough to prompt evacuation and send people in the wrong direction.
