Lois Irene Baughman, 50, of the 1400 block of Old Manor Road, passed away on July 18, 1996, in her residence.
She was a native of Minden, W.Va., and worked at Simonsdale Elementary School. She was a member of Collinswood Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Eddie Baughman; a daughter, Laura Case of Portsmouth; two sons, Larry Akers of Richmond, and Charles ``Joe'' Akers Jr. of Clyde, Ohio; three stepdaughters, Lucy Baughman of Columbia, Mo., Tresa Sears of Leon, Kan., and Mary Baughman of Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Ruby Kesler of Portsmouth, and Ellen Tanner of Dayton, Ohio; two brothers, Ted Tanner of Chester, Va., and Elmer Tanner of Oak Hill, W.Va.; and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Jack W. Stallings in Collinswood Baptist Church. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m.
