WELLINGTON I. CLEMENTS JR.

Wellington Irving ``Clem'' Clements Jr., 71, of Virginia Beach, died July 19, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Clements was a native of Norfolk. He was the son of the late Wellington Irving Clements and Margaret Rilee Clements. He was the widower of Virginia Johnston Clements.

Survivors include three daughters; Sheryl A. Thomas of Pensacola, Fla., Elizabeth C. Liverman, Virginia C. Trexler of Richmond; three sons, James M. Dyer of Norfolk, Wellington I. Clements III of Richmond, Brooks Ross Clements of Chesapeake; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and his beloved companion, Ann Dunn Craft and her children.

A chapel service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel by the Rev. Jeff Heath. The family will receive friends after the service on Sunday at the home of Kate Alexander, 4752 Longmont Ave., Salem Woods, Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation or charity of choice.
