George Michie Jackson, 88, of Virginia Beach, died July 18, 1996, in his residence.
Mr. Jackson was a native of Norfolk, Va. He was a Supply NCO in the South Pacific, serving in New Guinea, the Philippines and Iwo Jima. He was awarded many decorations and citations. Mr. Jackson was a real estate lawyer in Norfolk with Jackson and Willis.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret E. Jackson of Virginia Beach; a sister, Josephine Dunning of Miami, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery by Father Richard Mooney. Memorial donations may be made to charity of choice. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Laskin Road Chapel is handling arrangements.
