Lurinda K. Stewart, 88, of the 700 block of Madison St., died July 18, 1996.
Mrs. Stewart was a member and deaconess of New Bethel Baptist Church and a member of the Irene Woodard Missionary Society. She was the widow of John Stewart and a retired nurse.
Survivors include a daughter, Marjorie Cohn of Philadelphia; a son Deacon Arthur E. Kiah Sr. and daughter-in-law, Jean L. Kiah; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a niece; and two nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in New Bethel Baptist Church by the Rev. J.M. Whitaker. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
