Ira ``Jay'' Ross Jr., 43, of the 200 block of S. Budding Ave., died at his residence on Friday, July 19, 1996.
He was the son of Ira Jay Ross Sr. and Barbara Rooney Ross. He was born in Philadelphia on Feb. 20, 1953. Mr. Ross worked for Smith Electric Co. in Virginia Beach as an electrician and was a member of Princess Anne Plaza United Methodist Church.
Besides his parents, he is survived by three sons, Jason Ross, Joshua Ross and Justin Ross, all of Lisbon, Ohio; three brothers, Patrick ``Pat'' Ross, Mark K. Ross and Charles ``Chuck'' Ross, all of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Martha A. Jones and Katherine M. Ross, both of Virginia Beach; and a niece and nephew.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. today in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. David Schill officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. Altmeyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
