Robert Morris Mote, 65, of the 500 block of Pacific Ave., died July 21, 1996, in the Virginia Beach Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Mote retired from the Naval Investigative Service in 1980. He was a native of Columbus, Ohio, where he graduated from Ohio State University and was a member of the University Golf Team. Mr. Mote was a member of the Federal Criminal Investigators Association and the Redwing Seniors Golf Association.
In addition to his mother, Lovina E. Mote, and sister, Betty Pilcher, he is survived by his wife of 44 years, Antoinette G. ``Toni'' Mote; two daughters, Victoria Clyman and Nancy Mote; a son, Steven Mote and his wife, Jill T. Mote; two granddaughters, Melissa and Vanessa Hopper; and many relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at the Galilee Episcopal Church Columbarium, 40th Street and Pacific Avenue at 11 a.m. on Wednesday by the Rev. John Morris. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Laskin Road Chapel are handling arrangements.
