Myrtle Perry Butt, 79, of the 900 block of City Park Ave., died July 22, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. Butt was a native of Portsmouth and the widow of Ollie S. Butt Jr. She was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Vivian Miltier of Portsmouth; a stepson, O. Steve Butt III of Chesapeake; a sister, Grace P. Spady of Portsmouth; a brother, Shirley Perry and his wife, Christine, of Portsmouth; nieces, Phyllis Meeks, Debbie Meeks, Darlene Wilson, Judy Styron, Sheryl Cross, Rita Brannan, Dot Deal, JoAnn Halstead, Betty Garris, Ada King; two nephews, Paul King and Russell King.
A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Tom Potter. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is in charge. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times at the home of her brother, 3641 Moore Road, Portsmouth.
