Ada Cowan Gilmer, 85, the widow of Frank E. Gilmer, died Saturday, July 20, 1996, in Portsmouth.
Mrs. Gilmer, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, was a member of First Baptist Church of Princeton, W.Va.
Survivors include a daughter, Judith G. Hester of Portsmouth; a brother, Frank Conley; and three grandchildren, Dwane, Kim and Ryan Hester.
Her remains will be sent from Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, to Memorial Funeral Directory, Princeton, W.Va., for a graveside funeral at 11 a.m. Thursday in Montevista Park, Bluefield, W.Va. Memorial donations may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, Portsmouth, Va.
Before her recent illness she was the epitome of a loving and giving grandmother. She had a sense of humor that wouldn't quit.
