Grover M. Midgett, 71, of the 2100 block of Windward Shore Drive, died July 21, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mr. Midgett was born in Portsmouth and was a retired president of HRS Corporation. He was in the food service equipment business for over 50 years.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine G. Midgett; two daughters, Linda M. Davenport of Chesapeake and Beatrice M. Lovett of Germantown, Md.; a son, Donald M. Midgett of Oija, Calif; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two stepsons, Robert A. Magoon Jr. of Williamsburg and Brian A. Magoon of Aurora, Colo.
The funeral will be conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Richard Lovingood in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. Burial will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Ocean Park Fire and Rescue, Stratford Road and Shore Drive, Virginia Beach, Va. 23451.
