BEATRICE M. BEVAN

Beatrice Marion Morgan Bevan, 93, died July 21, 1996, in Hillhaven Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of Virginia Beach.

A native of Washington, D.C., she had lived in Norfolk and Virginia Beach since 1958. She was the wife of the late Lathrop Bevan. Mrs. Bevan was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach; a former member of the Princess Anne Hills Garden Club, and the Princess Anne Country Club. She had been an active volunteer at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters and the Virginia Beach General Hospital.

She is survived by two sons, James L. Bevan of Williamsburg and Robert M. Bevan of Wynnewood, Pa.; a sister, Dorothy Roberts of Satellite Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren, Tiffany Dormire and Noel Bevan, both of Virginia Beach, Charlie Bevan of Williamsburg, Susan Baggott of Owens Mill, Md., Sandy Bevan of Westchester, Pa., and Sheri Comisac of Ellicott City, Md.; and four great-grandchildren, Zoey Meyer-Jens of Westchester, Alexander Baggott and Christopher Baggott, both of Owens Mill, Md., and Hunter Hope Dormire of Virginia Beach. She was predeceased by a daughter, Betty Ruth Bevan.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the First Presbyterian Church, 3504 Pacific Ave., by Dr. J. Scottie Griffin. The family will receive friends in the atrium of the chapel, Pacific Avenue entrance, from 10 to 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach General Hospital Auxiliary, 1060 First Colonial Road, Virginia Beach 23454.
