Velma B. Anderson, 69, of the 600 block of Hoffman Ave., changed her address to heaven July 23, 1996. She died in her residence.
Mrs. Anderson, a native of Norfolk, was a member of Elizabeth River Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles D. Anderson; three sons, Melvin R. Anderson of Greenville, Ind., Ronnie Anderson and Gary R. Anderson, both of Chesapeake; four sisters, Helen Desimone and Joyce Leis, both of Chesapeake, Virginia Everett of North Carolina, Thelma Hancock of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Herbert Beach of Florida, Earl Beach and Roy Beach, both of Virginia Beach; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Frank Howlett in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m.
