Minnie Scott, 84, of the 900 block of Pollard St., died July 19, 1996, in DePaul Hospital.
Mrs. Scott, a domestic, was a native of Norfolk. She was a member of Basilica of St. Mary's of the Immaculate Conception and United Order of Tents. She was a former president of Huntersville Senior Citizens Group.
Survivors include five grandchildren, Sandra B. McPherson of Atlanta, Walter Bailey Jr. of Woodbridge, Va., Milton Bailey of Newport News, Cornelius Coston of Norfolk, Christopher Webb of Norfolk; a son-in-law, Walter Bailey Sr. of Baltimore; three great-grandsons; and five great-granddaughters.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday by Father Walter Barrett in Basilica of St. Mary's of the Immaculate Conception. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing today at 3 p.m. There will be a wake service from 7 to 8 p.m. at Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. The family will assemble at the funeral home at 12:35 p.m. for the procession.
