Valerie Maurice Woodley, 24, of the 500 block of Washington Ave., died July 21, 1996, in her residence.
She was the daughter of Larry P. Woodley and Phyllis Carter Woodley. She was a native of Franklin and a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, and the young adult usher board.
Besides her parents she is survived by her paternal grandfather, William M. Woodley; maternal grandparents, Booker T. and Mildred C. Carter; a sister, Shavon L. Woodley of Franklin; a brother, Larry M. Woodley of Sedley, Va.; two stepbrothers, Jason Riddick and Darcus Riddick, both of Eure, N.C.; three aunts; seven uncles; three great-aunts; a great-uncle; and a dear friend, Paul Britt.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. A.L. Goodwyn Sr. in Piney Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery, Franklin. Wm. M. Johnson and Sons Funeral Home is in charge.
