Volunteer Connection of South Hampton Roads has announced a new name, Volunteer Hampton Roads and enhanced programs.
Volunteer Hampton Roads, an advocacy agency, has received a $13,000 grant from Norfolk Foundation for a new program, Volunteer Hampton Roads Corps. The VHR Corps' mission is to help maximize the ability to work with children, provide food and housing to low-income families, help the homeless, care for the elderly, work with people with mental or physical limitations and protect the environment.
Volunteer Hampton Roads compiles volunteer needs from more than 500 nonprofit agencies in South Hampton Roads. For more information, call 624-2400. by CNB
