Strong arm robbery, 100 block South Wellons Street, July 12, someone came up behind a woman and grabbed her purse.
Lost/stolen, 600 block North Main Street, July 15, someone removed the front and rear license plates from a disabled vehicle.
Breaking and entering, 300 block South Wellons Street, July 17, someone entered a residence through a window. Once inside, $420 in U.S. currency and a car payment bill in the amount of $112 was removed.

Breaking and entering, 200 block North Lloyd Street, July 12, on returning home from the beach, someone discovered the back door to his residence had been opened. The television set and various clothes had been removed.
Lost/stolen, 1300 block Portsmouth Boulevard, July 12, someone removed the license plates from a parked vehicle.
Vandalism, 400 block East Washington Street, July 14, someone threw a large rock at the front glass window of a business causing it to shatter and setting off the alarm. Estimated damage is $300.
Unauthorized use, 500 block Kissimmee Avenue, July 15, a person borrowed a black, 2-door 96 Dodge Neon and did not return it.
Larceny, 800 block Freeney Avenue, July 16, someone removed a Daewoo DP 51 9mm handgun and two fishing poles from a vehicle.
Breaking and entering, 200 block Columbus Avenue, July 16, someone returned home to discover that her residence had been entered and that $30 had been removed.
Petty larceny, 100 block South 11th Street, July 17, someone entered an unlocked vehicle and removed a Virginia State Inspection Sticker.
Breaking and entering, 100 block Lewis Avenue, July 17, someone entered a residence through a rear bedroom window. Once inside, a VCR valued at $300 and a Sega Genesis game system valued at $270 was removed.

Lost/stolen, 7900 Harvest Drive, July 17, a Suffolk city decal is missing from a residence.
DISTRICT F
Breaking and entering, 6400 block Whaleyville Boulevard, July 14, someone entered a business by breaking the front door glass. On entry, the video camera was knocked off the ceiling with a bottle. A cash box containing $75 was removed.
Breaking and entering, 5100 block Mineral Spring Road, July 15, someone entered a business and removed a red, 4-wheeler, ATV model TRX300R with an orange bracket.
Escape from custody, 800 block Carolina Road, July 16, someone removed items from a store and was discovered walking north on Carolina Road carrying a bag containing the stolen material. A police officer handcuffed the suspect and took him back to the store. The officer left the suspect locked in the car, handcuffed and in a seat belt. While the officer was gathering information from the store manager, the suspect escaped leaving behind a bicycle with a black bag full of items from the store totaling $63.88.
