Stanley Walker, 37, of the 1300 block of Wirt Ave., died July 22, 1996.
He was a cook for Circle Restaurant in Portsmouth and had worked there for eight years. Born in Portsmouth, he was a Baptist.
Survivors include his daughter, Gabrielle Mitchell of Portsmouth; son, Stanley Schoolfield of Portsmouth; mother, Ethel M. Walker of Portsmouth; father, Raymond Wiggins of Portsmouth; three sisters, Corethia Walker, Theresa Walker and Valerie Walker, all of Portsmouth; a brother, Reginald Walker of Portsmouth; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends, and a very devoted friend, Hope Mitchell of Portsmouth.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in New Mount Olivet Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Milton L. Blount. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 10 a.m. Friday. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Saturday.
