Ruth I. Cross, 81, of the 3300 block of Gwin St., died July 22, 1996.
Mrs. Cross, the widow of Simon Cross, was a member of Union Bethel Church of God in Christ. She was a native of Norfolk County.
Survivors include three daughters, Eleanor Wilson, Magdaline Cross, Flora Faulk; four sons, Herbert Cross, Earl Cross, Arthur Cross, George Cross; two sisters, Helen McClennon and Willie Essie McNeil; 23 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday by Dr. J.B. Sharpe in Olive Branch Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at the residence. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge.
