Marian Willette Booker-Lee, 58, formerly of St. Julian Ave. in Norfolk, died July 22, 1996.
She was a retired teacher for the Arlington, Va. school system and taught at Bowling Park Elementary School, Norfolk. The widow of William Sylvester Lee, she was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Springfield, and a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Norfolk. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, Elizabeth City University, and did post graduate work at the University of Indiana. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
She is survived by two sisters, Medith Booker-Lewis of Chesapeake, Martha Eleanor Simpson of Temple Hill, Md.; brother-in-law, Paul Simpson of Temple Hill, Md., niece and spouse, Stephanie Brown and Carl Brown of Washington, D.C.; two great-nieces, Chinyere Brown and Amina Brown of Washington, D.C.; and cousins of New York City.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Father Walter Barrett presiding. The family will assemble at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge.
