Marian Willette Booker-Lee, 58, formerly of St. Julian Ave. in Norfolk, died July 22, 1996.
She was a retired teacher for the Arlington, Va., school system and taught at Bowling Park Elementary School, Norfolk. The widow of William Sylvester Lee, she was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Springfield, and a former member of the former St. Joseph Catholic Church, Norfolk. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and Elizabeth City University. She was a post graduate of the University of Indiana. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
She is survived by two sisters, MEdith Booker-Lewis of Chesapeake, Martha Eleanor Simpson of Temple Hill, Md.; brother-in-law, Paul Simpson of Temple Hill, Md., niece and spouse, Stephanie Brown and Carl Brown of Washington, D.C.; two great-nieces, Chinyere Brown and Amina Brown of Washington, D.C.; and cousins of New York City.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Father Walter Barrett presiding. The family will assemble at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge.
